“I still remember picking up the phone and the excitement of John’s voice saying, I’ve got a great idea,” said Steve Delin, recounting the founding days of Ladera Communities with his brother, John Delin.

The Delins were inspired to focus on active adult building after moving in-laws into a 55+ community in 2006. The brothers witnessed the need for communities focused around the needs of this demog raphic, especially here in Texas. Thus, Ladera 55+ Communities was born—a testament to their commitment to serving this growing market segment with dignity and respect.

“We were not prepared in how quickly that community would sell out,” Steve said about their experience with the opening of Ladera Keller. “What we saw was that the majority of the buyers that came into Keller were local to that community.”

After the success of Ladera Keller, the Delins set out to build more Dallas active adult communities in central locations that put homeowners closer to the things they cared about most: proximity to their children and grandkids, proximity to leading healthcare facilities, and proximity to Metroplex hot spots, including shopping, restaurants, museums, and of course, the airport.
